Even Grounds was Invited to Speak in Usability Meeting of Bank of New Zealand
Julius Charles Serrano, research director and accessibility consultant at Even Grounds, was invited to speak in the usability meeting of Bank of New Zealand (BNZ). The meeting was held on September 6, 2010 at the Wellington branch of BNZ.
The usability meeting is a regular event where professionals from BNZ gather to discuss issues and topics related to usability. Professionals from other institutions are also invited to attend the usability meeting.
Julius gave a demonstration of how a blind person uses a screen reader in accessing the computer. He then showed how screen reader users access the Internet. The group provided suggestions of web sites which Julius explored during the presentation. In the demonstration, the group and Julius were able to identify issues that affect the usability and accessibility of the web sites. Even Grounds is thankful to BNZ for inviting Julius to speak in their usability meeting.
