Even Grounds Sponsors an Online Meeting Place for Web Accessibility
As a means of providing continuous support to South East Asian advocates of web accessibility, Even Grounds has recently set up a forum where the said individuals can post questions and address issues regarding web accessibility.
This accessibility forum is one of the projects that have been agreed upon between Mr. Tom Babinszki, accessibility consultant and owner of Even Grounds, and the South East Asian participants of the Web Accessibility Course held at the
Malaysian Association for the Blind
in June 2008. Similar to this accessibility training, this forum is also being supported by the Overbrook-Nippon Network on Educational Technology (ON-NET), a regional initiative that promotes the use of assistive technology to blind and low vision people in Asia.
Through the accessibility forum, the participants of the course can ask questions related to web accessibility. These will then be answered by anyone in the list who has sufficient information regarding a specific question. Mr. Babinszki, the forum's moderator, believes that the forum is an effective way of helping the group and keeping track of everyone’s accessibility-related activities. Furthermore, apart from the South East Asian accessibility advocates, other individuals who are interested in the said topic can also join the forum, ask questions, and participate in the discussions.
