Accessing the Future
Accessing the Future was an amazing conference, truly worthwhile for me. I enjoyed presenting a poster at the conference and felt that a lot of people heard what I had to say.
I think it is best for those who have a very technical bent or who are interested in topics like healthcare/jobs accessibility and other human factors topics - people interested in physical/spatial accessibility are going to find less here to interest them.
Conference organizers made a strong effort towards accessibility but if you have a disability they have not anticipated that requires accomodations you should be proactive with them. For example, they anticipated deaf, blind, and using a wheelchair might require accomodations . . . they did not anticipate that someone with a processing disorder like mine might rely on CART some of the time.
