Adaptive Technology for Rehabilitation, Integration and Empowerment of the Visually Impaired (ATRIEV), is an organization in the Philippines doing wonderful service for blind and visually impaired people. I got to know them in connection with a course which I taught in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in June, 2008. I had several participants from ATRIEV, and I had a chance to learn about their services.

In order to obtain more funding, ATRIEV joined the Samsung Hope Contest. Below, I'm posting their call for support. Learn about ATRIEV, and show your support!

Dear friends,

In the hope that ATRIEV computer school for the blind will continue its mission, ATRIEV joined the Samsung Hope contest to secure the needed funds to continue its operations. Please help us get the funds by voting for ATRIEV. Below are the mechanics for voting.

***

ATRIEV Computer School for the Blind was chosen by Samsung Hope, a charity initiative of Samsung, as one of the beneficiaries of their latest social responsibility campaign.

Recognizing that it takes more than technological innovation to deliver a better life and brighter future, Samsung Hope puts a strong focus on empowering the torchbearers of tomorrow. In the Philippines, ATRIEV is the only beneficiary chosen by Samsung that focuses on persons with visual impairment.

With just a few clicks, you can play a part in deciding where the money goes. Pledge support ATRIEV and give a vision of Hope to the Filipino blind.

  • Go to the link http://www.samsunghope.org/beneficiaries/ph_02.html
  • Pick a Balloon:
  • Attach a note:

After selecting your balloon, fill up the form with the following fields:
