1000 Subscribers On The Accessibility Tips And Tricks Newsletter

I have started my Accessibility Tips and Tricks newsletter about a year ago. Today, I just would like to stop for a moment and thank my subscribers, as this week the 1000th reader has signed up.

I have designed these tips to be not longer than what you can display on a screen in an email message. Every other week, my users receive a short tip on making technology accessible to people with disabilities in their own lives, in their own environment.

These tips apply to all people who use technology to any extent. The tips are written in plain language, and understandable even for those who have never heard of accessibility before.

In addition to the tips and tricks, I publish a monthly brief newsletter, which is also less than a screen long about anything that happens in the industry that you may want to know about.

I am amazed to know how many people read my tips. It would already be a nice gesture from people to mention that they read my newsletters, but they always make me believe they do, either by referring to one that they really liked, or by sending me numerous questions.

And of course, the questions are not left unanswered. I include some of them in the newer tips, or address them in my blog or among the articles for the public to benefit from it.

Again, thank you for reading my company's site and the newsletter, I will continue to provide free and useful information in the future. And if you would like to have any more of your questions answered, as always, feel free to contact me.

And in case you wonder what did more than a thousand people find useful, sign up, confirm your intent to join by e-mail, and see it yourself.

Question about the Accessibility Tips and Tricks Newsletter

Submitted by Sheryl Jenkins (not verified) on Mon, 09/28/2009 - 21:17.

First of all, let me thank you for the tips and tricks you have been providing us for the past couple of months. It has truly helped the developers of our company's site in making it more accessible. The tips are not too complex yet you are able to express the thoughts completely.

I just have one question. Is it possible to have a section in your site where we can view the past accessibility tips? This would be useful in case we, for some reason, miss the most recent tips you have sent?

Thanks again.

Sheryl

Past tips and tricks

Sheryl,

For the time being, it is only available to subscribers. Consider this as a little course. Instead of reading the tips altogether, you get one every other week, and your homework is to implement it or think about it for the next two weeks.
